Red Cell (Syrup) |
Excellent vitamin and mineral supplement that can be mixed in the pigeon grain. Dosage: One soupspoon per pound or kilo of feed - more or less. Can be ordered directly from Farnam. |
Pego Multi-Vitamins |
Vitamin supplement that can be added to the drinking water or given directly down the throat as drops. See directions for dosage. |
Bath Salts - Shampoo |
All pigeons should receive a bath once a week. |

Adam's Shampoo |
Non-alcoholic shampoo added to the weekly bath water to prevent and eliminate external parasites. (Alcohol will dry and damage feathers) Dosage: One capful to average size bath pan (most bath pans will accommodate 8 to 10 pigeons). Can be ordered directly from Farnam. |
Pego Bath Salts |
Excellent product that can be added to the bath water to produce silky clean feathers. |
Medications |
Medications should be administered to all pigeons 2 to 4 times per year at a minimum. |

5 in One |
Flock treatment for Canker, Coccidiosis, Respiratory, Worms, plus Vita Pro Combo. A combination of Amprolium, Ridzol S, Tylosine, Levamisol, and Vita Pro Combo. Dosage: One level teaspoon (15 grams) per gallon of drinking water for 5 days. |
Ivermectin |
1% sterile solution (10mg/mL). For the treatment and control of gastrointestinal round worms, lung worms, lice and mites in cattle and swine. Maybe used for pigeons - one or two drops down the throat. (The over-the-counter solution maybe diluted to make the product safer to use for pigeons.) |
Electrolytes |
Electrolytes should be administered to racers and breeders as their physical exertion warrants. |
